BEZEK RETREAT CENTRE AND CHILDRENS MINISTRY CENTRE IS BEING ERECTED!

 

BUILDING AT BEZEK CENTRE

ON ISLAND OF OMETEPE

IS MOVING FORWARD!

So I answered them, and said to them, “The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build... Nehemiah 2:20 

After our first camp for children on November 29th to December 1st 2019 at Bezek Centre, God's Hand continues to move so that many more children can know of God's Awesome Love for them at the Bezek Centre on Ometepe Island. A special thanks goes to Just A Cup (JAC) and all those who have supported us through the purchase of coffee so that children's camps can be another tool through which God touches the lives of many children.  God Bless!

In spite of all difficulties and set backs faced in 2020, just 3 months after our first camp, planning began and they broke ground for the construction cabins for our children's  camp and retreat centre at Bezek! We thank God for His faithfulness!

Within the first couple of weeks of April 2020, the land had been leveled...

 

Boulders removed, trenches dug and rebar had been put in place to set the foundations. 

By the end of April 2020, bricks had been laid for the foundation... 

And walls continue going upwards!  

Because of our Heavenly

Father's Goodness,

and the hard work 

of the carpenters, 

by June 30th 2020 the walls and

the roof had been installed!

Work however had to restart again in January 2021 as a result of the complications of the Pandemic. 

To date, parging has been completed,

door frames have been installed 

painting is being finished but... 

Please continue to pray for the successful

completion of this project as we need 

to finish the installation of the bathrooms, 

windows, doors, and electrical work of this 

first cabin.

Pray please for God's continued provision as the foundation on the second cabin has already started! 

Regardless of all the difficulties in 2020, we praise our Heavenly Father! In the span of less than a year, God has done a Mighty work! We have seen His Hand move in our favour!

My Uncle Peter and Phil Tyers, friend of the family, helped us move move massive rocks in preparation for a new gate at the entrance of Bezek Centre.

 

Thanks to God for my son and wife who also help keeping the property look nice...

Thanks to my Mom who has put a big effort in every day selling coffee...

To those who have supported us through Just a Cup (JAC) purchasing coffee a special thanks as well. That purchase of coffee has helped us advance the work  God is doing on the Island. 

And last, but not least, special thanks to my Dad, whose initial of his first name appears in the top part of this sign. Who, I know, is looking down from the cloud of witnesses seeing the fruit of his labour. 

Because of his obedience to God's given vision, he has played a vital part in supporting God's Kingdom being spread also on the Island of Ometepe Nicaragua.
